It is a test that looks for tiny pieces of proteins on the surface of the virus, called antigens. It is a less sensitive test as compared to the RT-PCR and is not as accurate either. If an antigen test is negative, there might be a further need to do a RT-PCR test as well.<\/p>\n

How is it done?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Similar to the RT-PCR test, a nose swab can take a small amount of sample from your nose or a throat swab can be done to take sample from your top part of the throat.<\/p>\n

We can deliver the results of an antigen test in approximately 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, patients are entitled to reimbursement for the cost of COVID19 testing from their insurance company. However, tests performed for use in any form of travel (domestic, international) are not covered under insurance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t02<\/span> Why do you charge for COVID19 RT-PCR testing?\r\n\t\t\t<\/span>\r\n\t\t<\/h3>

To carry out the RT-PCR test for travel, we incur a cost as well as overhead expenses, especially with the shorter turnaround time tests. As a result, we\u2019d have to charge you for the tests performed at our facility to sustain our business.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t03<\/span> Can I get my RT-PCR test done in the car or do I need to come into the facility?\r\n\t\t\t<\/span>\r\n\t\t<\/h3>

For most tests, you would have to come into the facility for providing the test sample. However, for COVID19 RT-PCR test, we can have a medical assistant come up to your car in our parking lot, to perform the test.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
